1905 Brass Medal – First ever coin made at the Denver Mint

Out of stock

This 1905 brass medal is a unique opportunity to own not just a beautiful collectors piece, but a piece of United States history.  This PCGS-certified authentic first coin ever minted at the Denver Mint is graded at MS65, which is tied as the finest known.

The history of this coin is rich and includes a newspaper clipping of the opening event and a copy of the handwritten letter of authenticity.  The letter was signed by the Governor and other State Officials who were in attendance to witness the minting of these very pieces.

This Tied for Finest Known example is an extraordinary find. Owned by the late, great H.W. Bass Jr. it is truly like no other that can be acquired.

These specimens are so rare we have never actually owned one before! It’s like going back in a time capsule to the moment the Denver Mint was born.

A truly remarkable example that will be the highlight of any prestigious collection for generations to come.
